I am a Soul Shadow
The remnants of the wistful spirit of a young man that died of a broken heart
His name was mine
Poet and weaver of fine silken lyrics

My tears are the wreckage of his heart
I was left behind
Broken and abandoned on this cold earth

Take my hand and fly with me

We go to a time lost in the ages

But alas, it was a forbidden love with one of noble blood
Torn apart by his Lover's family that didn't approve of him
He would cry out in the night, his bed cold and alone

He finally extinguished the flame of his soul and died

A truly desperate and lonely death
One that cries out in vain

His sadness was so deep I cannot leave this world
Not until his Love comes back through the mist of the ages to retrieve me

I have walked this world alone without comfort or rest
Plunging into an ocean of madness

Listen for my tears when the wind howls through the trees
